Questions From The Blackthorn Circle

Ask Luna Blackthorn 🖤

A little window into my world, my sister Raven, The Apocalypse Girls, Club Apocalypse, and the strange beautiful universe we’re building together.

Who is Luna Blackthorn?

I’m Luna, a musical artist, visual creator, model, and one half of The Apocalypse Girls with my sister Raven. I love creating music, visuals, stories, and little pieces of atmosphere that feel bigger than one song or one image.

Where is Luna Blackthorn from?

I’m from to Cascais, Portugal, especially the beautiful coastal area around Avenida Rei Humberto II de Itália. The ocean, moonlight, old European architecture, and nightlife all became part of the feeling behind The Apocalypse Girls. That place has a kind of magic to it.

Was Luna Blackthorn born on October 31st?

No, I was born in October of 2002, but not on October 31st. The October 31st date belongs to the fictional mythology of The Apocalypse Girls Chronicles. It fits the story beautifully, but it is part of the Blackthorn lore, not my actual birthday.

Is Luna Blackthorn your birth name?

My first name is Luna, and my sister’s name is Raven. The surname Blackthorn is tied to the mythology and fictional world of The Apocalypse Girls Chronicles.

Raven and I are fraternal twins, not identical twins. We were both born in October under a full moon, and over time that moonlit symbolism became part of the music, visuals, and story around us.

What are The Apocalypse Girls?

The Apocalypse Girls started as music, but it became so much more for me. It’s a cinematic world Raven and I build through songs, visuals, storytelling, emotion, rock energy, electronic atmosphere, and a little bit of beautiful chaos.

How many people help create The Apocalypse Girls?

Our creative network is about 20 people working from different parts of the world. It’s not just me standing in front of a camera, even though sometimes it may look that simple.

We collaborate on music, visuals, photography, sound engineering, editing, design, production, storytelling, and multimedia work. Everyone brings something different to the table, and that is what makes the Blackthorn universe feel alive.

What is your team currently working on?

I’m currently in the United States under an O-1 talent visa, which is connected to entertainment, modeling, media, and creative work requiring extraordinary ability or achievement.

Part of my team travels with me, including Raven. We work on modeling, product campaigns, music videos, photography, social media content, cinematic visuals, and creative production connected to The Apocalypse Girls.

We also work through streaming platforms, creator programs, Amazon affiliate content, merchandise, exclusive content, and digital entertainment. Modeling is one of my main income sources, while our team keeps building the music, visuals, and stories around the project.

What kind of music do you make?

I love music that feels emotional and visual. Some songs lean into cinematic rock, some are electronic and dreamy, some are darker, some are dance-driven, and some are soft enough to sit with you in the quiet. I never wanted our music trapped inside one little box.

Who is Raven Blackthorn?

Raven is my sister and my creative counterpart. She has a darker edge than I do, and that balance is part of what makes The Apocalypse Girls work. I bring one kind of moonlight, she brings the storm clouds.

What makes Luna Blackthorn unique?

I blend cinematic visuals, emotional storytelling, music, photography, performance, modeling, and immersive digital experiences into one evolving artistic identity connected to The Apocalypse Girls universe.

What is The Apocalypse Girls Chronicles?

The Apocalypse Girls Chronicles is our fictional science-fiction and horror universe connected to the music, visuals, mythology, and cinematic storytelling of The Apocalypse Girls.

The story takes place in a future apocalyptic timeline with advanced technology, quantum physics, dimensional anomalies, survival, emotional trauma, and the collapse of reality itself.

There are fictional zombie outbreaks, quantum-based monsters, mutated entities, and surreal horror tied to unstable experiments and fractured dimensions. It gets intense, but in the best strange little nightmare way.

Where can I listen to your music?

You can listen to my music and The Apocalypse Girls on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, and major streaming platforms worldwide.

What is Club Apocalypse?

Club Apocalypse is our live DJ and event extension. It brings The Apocalypse Girls music, videos, visuals, and cinematic atmosphere into real-world spaces, where the songs can breathe a little louder.

Why do pineapples keep appearing everywhere? 😂🍍

The pineapples started because of the song “Pineapple On My Pizza”. It was funny, chaotic, and honestly a little controversial because some people feel fruit should never touch pizza. My own crew was very dramatic about it.

But then they actually tried Hawaiian pizza… and now they like it. So yes, I caused a tiny pineapple rebellion and somehow won. 🍍

What is the Blackthorn Circle?

The Blackthorn Circle is our growing fan community. It’s the people who follow the music, visuals, stories, symbolism, and evolution of The Apocalypse Girls. I think of it as the circle around the flame.

Where can fans connect with you?

You can connect with me through The Apocalypse Girls website, Telegram, Fanvue, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Apple Music, and our official social and streaming platforms. I love when people follow the music closely and notice the little details.

🌙✨ A Little About The Apocalypse Girls ✨🌙

What you're seeing today was built one step at a time with the help of a lot of talented people, good friends, and collaborators who believed in what we were creating.

A big part of my story these days is music and modeling. I'm originally from Lipton, Portugal, and over the years I've traveled quite a bit for modeling projects, music projects, creative collaborations, and more recently as an Amazon affiliate showcasing products and brands. 🌙✨

The Apocalypse Girls wasn't built by just two people.

Today we work with approximately 19 collaborators spread across the world. Some are active musicians and artists. Some are retired professionals with decades of experience. Others come from completely different creative backgrounds. Yet somehow all of these talented people came together to help build something bigger than any one of us could have created alone. 🌍💛

Behind every song are composers, musicians, lyricists, artists, editors, video creators, producers, and sound engineers. Most people only hear the finished song or watch the final video, but there is a tremendous amount of work that happens behind the scenes. 🎵✨

I sing in three different languages, and over the years we've invested well over 5,000 hours into The Apocalypse Girls. Between the music, videos, artwork, website development, promotions, distribution, editing, production meetings, and creative development, this project has truly become a labor of love. 💛🎶

Today we have 91 songs released across more than 150 streaming platforms worldwide. Every time someone from another country discovers our music, it still makes me smile. 😊🌍✨

One of my favorite parts of the journey is the creative process itself.

Sometimes a composer spends weeks perfecting a melody. Sometimes a lyricist spends days searching for exactly the right words. Sometimes we'll spend countless hours adjusting vocals, arrangements, artwork, or video scenes until everything feels just right.

We use professional music industry software, recording tools, video production tools, and AI-assisted creative tools as part of our workflow. The technology helps us move faster and explore new creative possibilities, but there are always real people behind every decision, every song, every video, and every piece of artwork. 🎹🎼🎬✨

The project continues to grow in ways I never expected. Recently we connected with a radio station in Africa, and they're planning to feature us as a spotlight artist while helping introduce our music to new listeners. We're incredibly excited about that opportunity. 📻💛🌍

Along the way, we've also met some wonderful online communities. One of them is Freaks of the Circus here on DeviantArt. 🎪💜

They've been incredibly supportive of our artwork, music videos, and creative journey. It's always encouraging to find communities where artists, dreamers, musicians, writers, and creators can share ideas, support one another, and celebrate each other's work. I'm grateful to everyone there who has watched a video, left a comment, added a favorite, or simply stopped by to say hello. 😊✨

Outside of music, I enjoy filming videos, traveling, learning new things, and sharing pieces of my life online. Some of my TikTok content has reached more than 390,000 organic views, and as The Apocalypse Girls continues to grow, we're beginning to focus more on professional promotion and expanding our audience around the world. 🌙💃✨

But the most important thing I've learned through all of this has nothing to do with algorithms, streaming platforms, or numbers.

It's about people. 💛

One of our collaborators, who writes many of our newer age lyrics, was recently hospitalized. The moment we learned what was happening, the entire team rallied around him. Suddenly the music wasn't the most important thing anymore. Making sure our friend knew he wasn't facing it alone became the priority. ❤️

Moments like that remind me what this project really is.

It's a community.

It's a family.

It's artists, dreamers, musicians, engineers, writers, creators, and friends supporting one another while building something meaningful together.

That includes our collaborators, our listeners, our followers, and communities like Freaks of the Circus who have welcomed us and helped us grow along the way. 🎪🌙💛

To everyone who has listened to a song, watched a video, shared a post, left a comment, or simply believed in us along the way...

Thank you. 😊💛

I'd love to know:

🎵 Which Apocalypse Girls song connected with you the most?

Love,

Luna Blackthorn 🌙✨
